Expert Patio construction in Peoria, AZ

A well-built patio adds real living space to your home. Modern Design Construction handles patio construction for homeowners in Peoria, Glendale, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Avondale, Buckeye, Laveen, Litchfield Park, Waddell, Anthem, Sun City, Sun City West, and Sun City Grande. We plan and build each patio around your yard, your home's layout, and how you actually want to use the space. Arizona's desert climate shapes every decision we make. Peoria summers push concrete surface temperatures well past what bare feet can handle, so surface color, shade integration, and drainage all matter from day one. Caliche and expansive soils common in the West Valley also affect how a patio base is prepared. We account for those conditions before any work begins. The owner of Modern Design Construction takes pride in seeing a project through from the first plan to the finished slab. If you are ready to turn your backyard into a space you use year-round, contact us to get started.

FAQ

Patio construction FAQ

Common questions about patio construction in Peoria, AZ.

Can you build a patio at my home in Peoria?

Yes, we serve homeowners throughout Peoria and the surrounding West Valley. We build patios across Peoria, Glendale, Avondale, Buckeye, Litchfield Park, Waddell, and nearby communities.

Do you handle patio projects in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley too?

Yes, Modern Design Construction builds patios in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. We also serve Phoenix, Tempe, Laveen, Anthem, Sun City, Sun City West, and Sun City Grande.

What makes patio construction different in the Peoria area compared to other states?

Peoria's desert soil, including caliche hardpan common in the West Valley, affects how a patio base must be prepared. Surface color and shade planning also matter more here because Arizona sun can push concrete temperatures to extreme levels in summer.

Will my new patio hold up through Arizona monsoon season?

A patio built with proper drainage and a well-compacted base handles monsoon rain without pooling or shifting. We plan drainage into every patio we build across the Phoenix metro.

Do you build patios that include shade structures?

Yes, we can incorporate shade into your patio design. Covered patios are one of the most practical upgrades for homeowners in Peoria and across the Phoenix area, where shade directly affects how much you use the space.

How do I get started with a patio project through Modern Design Construction?

Contact us directly to discuss your project in Peoria or any of our service areas. We will talk through your yard, your goals, and what the build involves before any work begins.

After living in this house for over 20 yrs our kitchen needed to be brighter and more modern looking. Derek and his crew did an excellent job installing new counters, backsplash, and all the other upgrades we had envisioned. Great communication, prompt service and cleanup. We wouldn’t hesitate to contract with Modern Design Construction again for future remodeling!

Derek did a complete gut and reconstruction of our kitchen and breakfast nook and we couldn’t be happier with the final results. He helped take our nice track home kitchen and make it custom home worthy! Derek expanded our island giving us more room for appliances and entertaining, added brand new cabinets that were extended up to the ceiling. We also added a whole new row of cabinets in our breakfast nook. To tie the whole project together, he updated our fireplace and added a matching mantle. The results speak for itself and he did an amazing job!

I finally have my dream kitchen. I initially wanted just my peeling cabinets replaced. Derek from Modern Design Construction LLC sent a picture of an updated much roomier kitchen. From start to finish, the hardest thing I had to do was pick out colors, flooring, knobs, a faucet and stay out of the way. The plumber, electrician, painter and flooring people all did exceptionally work. I highly recommended Modern Design Construction LLC. I am very pleased with my new kitchen.

We highly recommend Derek for your next remodel project. Our project included a major Kitchen redesign, as well as tile and cabinetry in two Bathrooms. From our very first meeting with Derek, he brought creative design ideas to help us reimagine our our spaces to achieve the bright and open concept we were looking for. This was a large project requiring multiple trades which Derek sourced and managed. It all went very smoothly and through each step, Derek worked closely with us to ensure every small detail met our expectations. His suggestions for tweaks here and there resulted in not only beautiful ascetics but, the best possible function as well. Thank you for everything Derek; you are a fabulous craftsman and a great guy! — Lisa Rae & Tom

Derek is very professional and quickly responded to my issues with the plumbing install. I would definitely recommend his company.
