Expert Interior finishing in Peoria, AZ

Interior finishing is where a custom home stops being a construction site and starts being a place to live. At Modern Design Construction, we handle the work that defines how every room looks and feels, from wall treatments and trim work to ceiling details and interior doors. We serve homeowners across Peoria, Glendale, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Avondale, Buckeye, Litchfield Park, Laveen, Anthem, Sun City, Waddell, and the surrounding West Valley. Arizona's intense sun and dry heat put real stress on interior surfaces, so the materials and methods used here matter more than they would in a milder climate. Our owner takes a hands-on approach to every project, staying involved from the first coat to the final detail. That focus on seeing each stage through means nothing gets skipped and nothing gets handed off without care. If you are building or finishing a custom home in the Peoria area, we are ready to talk through what your space needs.

What's included

Common questions about interior finishing in Peoria, AZ.

Does Modern Design Construction handle interior finishing for custom homes in Peoria?

Yes, interior finishing for custom homes in Peoria is one of our core services. We cover trim, interior doors, wall treatments, ceiling details, and related finish work.

What does interior finishing actually include on a custom home build?

Interior finishing covers everything that goes in after the walls are closed, including trim, casing, interior doors, and surface treatments. In Peoria and across the West Valley, this stage is what gives a home its finished character.

Do you serve areas outside of Peoria for interior finishing work?

We serve homeowners across Glendale, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Avondale, Buckeye, Litchfield Park, Laveen, Anthem, Sun City, Sun City West, Sun City Grande, and Waddell. If your custom home is in the greater Phoenix area, reach out to confirm coverage.

How does Arizona's climate affect interior finishing choices?

Arizona's dry heat and high UV levels can cause interior surfaces to crack, fade, or shrink if the wrong materials are used. Homeowners in Peoria and Buckeye benefit from finish selections made with those local conditions in mind.

Will the same person oversee my interior finishing from start to finish?

Our owner stays hands-on through every stage of a project, including interior finishing. That direct involvement means the details you care about in your Peoria or Scottsdale home get consistent attention throughout.

After living in this house for over 20 yrs our kitchen needed to be brighter and more modern looking. Derek and his crew did an excellent job installing new counters, backsplash, and all the other upgrades we had envisioned. Great communication, prompt service and cleanup. We wouldn’t hesitate to contract with Modern Design Construction again for future remodeling!

Derek did a complete gut and reconstruction of our kitchen and breakfast nook and we couldn’t be happier with the final results. He helped take our nice track home kitchen and make it custom home worthy! Derek expanded our island giving us more room for appliances and entertaining, added brand new cabinets that were extended up to the ceiling. We also added a whole new row of cabinets in our breakfast nook. To tie the whole project together, he updated our fireplace and added a matching mantle. The results speak for itself and he did an amazing job!

I finally have my dream kitchen. I initially wanted just my peeling cabinets replaced. Derek from Modern Design Construction LLC sent a picture of an updated much roomier kitchen. From start to finish, the hardest thing I had to do was pick out colors, flooring, knobs, a faucet and stay out of the way. The plumber, electrician, painter and flooring people all did exceptionally work. I highly recommended Modern Design Construction LLC. I am very pleased with my new kitchen.

We highly recommend Derek for your next remodel project. Our project included a major Kitchen redesign, as well as tile and cabinetry in two Bathrooms. From our very first meeting with Derek, he brought creative design ideas to help us reimagine our our spaces to achieve the bright and open concept we were looking for. This was a large project requiring multiple trades which Derek sourced and managed. It all went very smoothly and through each step, Derek worked closely with us to ensure every small detail met our expectations. His suggestions for tweaks here and there resulted in not only beautiful ascetics but, the best possible function as well. Thank you for everything Derek; you are a fabulous craftsman and a great guy! — Lisa Rae & Tom

Derek is very professional and quickly responded to my issues with the plumbing install. I would definitely recommend his company.
